PurpStudio Projects - Crash Course Production

The Story:

“We need to produce a crash course for HRs and Hiring Managers.”

That was the production brief Talentera brought to us. But there was something different about this project.

The course didn’t rely only on an instructor explaining topics. It also relied heavily on acted sketches to explain and illustrate each topic.

Normally, productions like this rely on actors or professional models. But there was no room for that, so we had to rely on Talentera’s own team to perform the scenes themselves.

The Cast:

Rehearsal Time:

It was the first time the entire cast had ever been in front of a camera, so our biggest challenge was making their performances feel natural and believable.

That’s why we focused heavily on rehearsals, helping them feel comfortable on camera and guiding every detail, from reactions and tone of voice to eye contact and body language.

The Setup:

To make the transition between the acted sketches and the instructor’s explanations feel smooth and natural, we designed a setup that placed the instructor inside the interview itself.

The instructor appeared in the foreground, while the interviewer and interviewee were visible behind her in the background. This setup helped viewers follow both the educational explanation and the interview scene seamlessly.

Rehearsals done. Setup done. Production day done.
But we still weren’t finished!

It was time to bring Talentera's DNA into the crash course through post-production, motion graphics, and visual effects.

We also developed a distenctive art direction inspired by the paperwork HR teams use every day, turning notes, highlights, annotations, and printed documents into part of the visual storytelling itself.
